Search brings all content from across nuwacom together in one central place: chats, files, agents, projects, apps, and images appear together, without opening each section individually. Recently edited items are available immediately, can be checked in a preview, and brought straight into chat.

Key Benefits

  • Search across nuwacom: Chats, files, agents, projects, apps, images, and more appear in one central search, rather than section by section.
  • Faster restarts: Recently used items reappear on open, so work resumes before a new search begins.
  • Multiple files in one chat: Several files are selected and opened together in a new chat as context.

When to Use

Search applies whenever an item needs to be located across the workspace without browsing section by section, or when material is being assembled before a conversation begins. Typical situations include:
  • Finding a specific chat, file, agent, project, app, or image when its exact location is no longer certain, including files synced to the Knowledge Base through connectors.
  • Resuming recent work, where recently opened and recently updated items appear before any search term is entered.
  • Narrowing a large result set to a single owner, project, time period, entity type, or available action through category tabs and filter tokens.
  • Gathering several files from different categories and opening them together in a new chat as context, rather than attaching them one at a time.

How It Works

  1. Select the magnifying glass icon next to the workspace name in the top-left corner.
  2. Use the keyboard shortcut ⌘K on Mac or Ctrl+K on Windows.
Either method opens the Search window on top of the current view.

Search the Workspace

Before any text is entered, Search displays recently opened and recently updated items. Full-text search returns every item that contains the entered words. Results are presented across entity types, including chats, files, agents, projects, apps, and images, as well as files synced to the Knowledge Base via connectors.

Filter Results

Category tabs narrow results to a single entity type. Pressing the forward slash (/) key opens the filter picker, which offers five filters. Selecting a filter adds it to the search field as a token, for example owner:jane.doe.
  1. Owner (owner:) restricts results to a chosen person.
  2. Date (since:) restricts results to a time period.
  3. Project (project:) restricts results to a chosen project.
  4. Type (type:) restricts results to a chosen entity type.
  5. Actions (actions:) restrict results to items that support a specific action, such as sharing or archiving.
Filters and category tabs combine freely. For example, the Projects tab combined with owner:jane.doe returns only Jane’s items within that project.

Preview an Item

Hovering over a result or using the right-arrow key opens a side panel with details such as the item’s owner, an excerpt, and its project or folder location. The preview confirms the correct item before it is opened. Files synced from connected services such as SharePoint or Google Drive open in the source service in a new tab.

Bring Items into Chat

  1. Hovering over a result reveals a checkbox; selecting it chooses the item.
  2. A checkmark marks each selected item, including across categories.
  3. Clear selection removes the selection; Start chat opens the selected items as context in a new chat.

Run an Action on a Result

The Actions menu, opened with the right-arrow key, lists the actions available for the highlighted result, each with a numeric shortcut:
  1. Open (1) opens the item in the current view.
  2. Open in new tab (2, ⌘⇧) opens the item in a separate browser tab.
  3. Start chat (3) opens the item in a new chat as context.
  4. Add to selection (4, ⌘) adds the item to the current multi-item selection.
The available actions reflect the type of the highlighted result.
