In nuwacom, you can choose the model that best suits your specific requirements.

Which AI models does nuwacom offer?

Auto Mode

Auto Mode is enabled by default in chat. nuwacom automatically selects the model that best fits the request: fast responses for simple tasks, more power for complex ones. Select another model at any time via the dropdown menu if needed. nuwacom provides access to a wide range of modern AI models, flexible to use, securely hosted, and tailored to real-world use cases. The following overview shows the available model providers and models in nuwacom.

Note: Imagen 4.0 is used by default (EU-hosted). As an admin, you can select another image model in Workspace Settings > Models.

Video generation models

Veo 2 (EU) is used by default for video generation in your workspace. As an admin, you can change the model if needed in Workspace Settings > Models > Video generation model.

What are context windows?

A context window defines how much text an AI model can “see” and process at one time—depending on the model, for example:
  • 8,000 tokens ≈ 4 pages
  • 32,000 tokens ≈ 16 pages
  • 128,000 tokens ≈ 64 pages
  • 1,000,000 tokens ≈ 600 pages
Even large context windows have their limits with very long documents.
At nuwacom, we overcome this limitation with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation):the AI intelligently searches through large datasets and extracts only the relevant sections, no matter how long the document is.Example: You ask, “What data protection measures are specified in the contract?” Instead of analyzing all 2,000 pages across 10 documents, the AI jumps directly to the relevant paragraphs. You receive a precise, clear answer in seconds.

Chattasksen Each AI model has its own strengths. With nuwacom, you do not need to decide which model is best suited for your task yourself. The platform is designed to be LLM-agnostic from the ground up and automatically selects the model that best fits your use case. Simply select the right task to structure your request and get concrete results, for example:
  • Use the Orchestrator – Start complex tasks that are automatically planned, coordinated, and handled by specialized agents.

🇪🇺 EU-Hosted Models

These models are operated exclusively on servers within the European Union. What are the advantages of EU-hosted models?
  • GDPR compliance: Meets the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation.
  • No transfer to third countries: Your input and generated content never leave the EU.
  • Suitable for sensitive data: Ideal for companies working with personal or confidential information.
When is this the right choice?
If you use language models for internal communication, customer support, or data analysis—and need to ensure no data is transferred to the USA.

🇺🇸 US-Hosted Models

These models run on servers located in the United States. What are the advantages of US-hosted models?
  • Often more up-to-date or powerful: New or experimental models are usually available first in the USA.
  • Broader model selection: Access to advanced features.
What should you consider?
Usage may involve higher data protection risks, such as access by US authorities (Cloud Act). For some organizations, this can present a compliance risk.

Which hosting option is right for me?

  • Choose an EU-hosted model if data protection, GDPR compliance, and regulatory security are particularly important to you.
  • Choose a US-hosted model if you want access to the latest features and models—and you are not working with sensitive data.
