Introduction

nuwacom can identify a brand’s distinctive voice from one or more reference documents and save it as a voice in the workspace. This makes it possible to generate new content in a consistent tone, regardless of who creates it.

Key Benefits

  • Consistent communication: Generate content in a consistent brand voice, regardless of who creates it.
  • Flexible reference material: Build a voice from guidelines, existing content, or a combination of both.
  • Workspace availability: Make a saved voice available to colleagues with the required permissions.

Use Cases

Use a brand voice when creating LinkedIn posts, newsletters, landing page copy, sales emails, internal announcements, blog posts, or other content that should reflect a consistent brand style.

How it works

Step 1: Gather reference material

The quality of the writing style depends on the quality of the source material. nuwacom can extract style from formal brand or wording guidelines, as well as existing examples such as blog articles, white papers, website copy, and LinkedIn posts. Multiple documents can also be combined. Best practices:
  • Combine guidelines and examples: Guidelines provide explicit rules, such as do’s, don’ts, and tone. Example texts reveal implicit patterns, such as sentence length, common vocabulary, and rhythm. Combining both produces the most precise writing style.
  • Coordinate with marketing: In most companies, the marketing team can provide these guidelines.

Step 2: Create a voice in Settings

Go to Account settings > Workspace > Voices and select Create new Voice. Upload the reference material. nuwacom uses it to create a style profile that covers the brand’s general approach, typical phrasing, sentence structure, and prohibited expressions. Review the profile before saving and adjust it if needed. The voice is then available in the workspace.

Step 3: Select the voice in the chat

Enter @[voice name] in the chat to activate it. From that point on, the AI applies its characteristics to each output, regardless of format or author.

Step 4: Tailor the prompt to the format

The voice defines how the content is written. The prompt defines what it covers. A good prompt specifies the format, length, audience, and purpose, but not the tone. Example prompt

Step 5: Review and refine the result

Before sharing the content, check whether it sounds like the brand. Adjust any differences in the same chat with follow-up prompts such as “shorter,” “less promotional,” or “use more declarative sentences.” Recurring patterns can be added to the voice later, improving future outputs.
